Qawwali and Sufi music in Delhi
Having registered as a Charitable trust in India in the year 2012, Children’s Hope was proud to organise it’s first fundraiser event on 3rd March 2017.
In back drop of the magnificent & magically lit banyan tree adjoining the historical Qutab Minar; complimented by cool spring breeze, the Nizami Bandhus, famous Sufi singers, kept the audience mesmerised by their scintillating performance.
Dance performance by Girls from Salam Baalak Trust set the stage alive immediately after Asha Mirchandani, Managing Trustee welcomed the guests especially Dina, Nisha & Kavita who were there all the way from the USA. Dina gave a brief introduction to various projects in India, our aims, achievements & future plans.
Mouth watering snacks with drinks followed by an elaborate dinner completed the wonderful evening.
Children’s Hope is ever grateful to its sponsors, donors, project partners and guests for their near total participation. Mrs Pinky Anand, Additional Solicitor General of India graced the occasion and spoke about how Children’s Hope is close to her heart for the work they are doing.
The funds raised will go a long way in reaching out and changing lives of children.
