Children’s Hope recognizes that education itself is not enough to set young people up on the path to success; we need to provide the practical training that will help them find jobs and contribute to the 21st Century economy. CH helps prepare the young adults in our projects enter the modern work force by offering training in everything from sewing to information technology.

In today's times, everyone wants to fulfill the basic needs of their houses, have to work. Unfortunately, there are many young girls and women who are helpless and uncountable of doing so. Weather due to lack of education, not enough opportunities to learn various skills, or even financial conditions due to which they could never enroll themselves in any such courses.

CH realizes this need and reached out to the community at Dharam colony to provided Skill training to young girls and women who are sitting at home. Currently Knitting, Stitching, Karai work and Computer Skill is provided to the enrolled candidates.

The project aims at Inclusive Growth for Community-based Development programme through employable skills. Here boys and girls come to learn Computers that help them in getting jobs. This courses is certified by 'Prayas Institute of Economic Empowerment'. On an annual bases CHI facilitates about 90 children. The main focus of this project is to learn:

ENGLISH SPEAKING AND PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT, Jhandewalan, New Delhi

Along with the computer skills, the students are trained for spoken english. Every day interactions and Role plays help the students to gain confidence in various real-life situations. They are facilitated to interact with confidence in public and are groomed for interviews.

Objective of this program

  • Women empowerment
  • Empowerment of socio-economic and educationally backward segment of population aimed at Inclusive Growth.
  • Skill development coupled with life enrichment education and soft skills.

The program targets the youth and women belonging to disadvantaged segment. For those who have either dropedout, or have’t had the prevledge of literacy or have received rudimentary level of education, The Beauty Culture Program will give skills like: Hair Cutting, Hair Dressing & styling, Make-up artist, Beauty Therapy etc.

SKILLS AND TAILORING TRAINING FOR WOMEN in Slums of Deoli Village

Children’s Hope India started this program to introduce skills training to rehabilitate suffering women’s economic status by organizing and providing tailoring skills training and alternate employment opportunity for the empowerment of women in this village. The training in tailoring is a great opportunity to the poor women, both married and unmarried, to earn their livelihood. From this unit approx 50 women are trained each year. CHI supported this program till 2016

Project Objectives:

  • To improve their socio-economic standards
  • To promote awareness and participation in family responsibilities
  • To sustain small savings and networkings with banks and other govt. bodies
  • To educate women in ‘Mother & Child’ care and healthy environment
