A fun evening, stand-up comedy 2018

After completing over 5 years of working for the underprivileged children, Children’s Hope had its Second fundraiser on Saturday, the 3rd of March 2018, at the Q~la Restaurant, The Kila, 4-A Marg, Seven Style Miles, Kalka Das Marg, Mehrauli, New Delhi-110030, from 6.30pm onwards. CH works towards providing education and a holistic development of the urban slum children, on a Pan India level.

The evening was to enthrall the audience with Stand up Comedian  Jeeveshu Ahluwalia performing. There was also a silent auction of paintings which were provided by Great Banyan Art, for the cause.

Interactions during the cocktail hour helped people intermingle and know more about CH activities in India. As scheduled, at 7.30pm the program started with a welcome note from Ms Asha Mirchandani, Managing Trustee and a Sarasvati Vandana performance by the Children Hope Prayas children. Success stories were shared by Neha and Sharafat, narrating how CHI has helped them fulfill some of their dreams and aspirations. Moreover they also touched upon how CHI helped their families and their community on the whole to build a financially secure future for themselves.

CH was extremely grateful to have a few of Children’s Hope India board members join in from USA for the event. The evening was graced by many prominent personalities like Ms Abha Singh, former civil servant and an advocate in the High Court of Judicature, Socialite Ms Bina Ramani, Vijay Ramani Mr Anshu Budhraja, CEO of Amway and many more. The entire gathering, as well as children present, were entertained by Stand up Comedian Jeeveshu Ahluwalia’s humorous performance, followed by drinks and dinner.

This CH fundraiser was sponsored by many corporates and individuals, (like Amway, JCB, PFC, ITC, Centrum, IndusInd Bank, Atlas Cycles, Omnicom Media Group, Bird Group, Drums Food, Fenesta, Tecnova etc.). All these sponsors, graciously helped CH take a step towards its mission of “Every Child Counts”.

Each guest that evening took away a nugget of what CH does, many memories, a little laughter and a set of mementos.
