In the open grounds of the Nandi Greens, The evening was set to welcome all the Children’s Hope supporters and the famous The Nooran Sisters. But an hour before the the guests were to arrive, we faced a heavy downpour. “When the going gets tough, The tough get going…” – we managed to move indoor and put up a breadth taking show.
The evening started with Sarasvati Vandana presented by the Girls from Children’s Hope India Prayas School. A small video clip showed the work done by CH and how it is contributing to society in its own humble but extraordinary way.
Asha Mirchandani, Managing Trustee welcomed the guests especially Nisha Bharwani, Radha Vanjani and Dina Pahlajani, who were there to support us all the way from the USA. Dina welcomed our honorable guests – Mrs. Renuka Kumar and Shrimati Yashodhara Raje Scindia, a Renowned Indian politician Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare, Technical Education and Skill Development and Employment of Madhya Pradesh and a Social Worker. Dina thanked Mrs Scindia for her valuable time and the powerful words.
We also had with us Rakesh from Prayas and Gulnaaz from CHAHAK who shared their success stories.
The evening folded with the entrancing performance by Jyoti and Sultana Nooran. Delicious snacks with drinks followed by an elaborate dinner completed the wonderful evening.
Despite the weather conditions, Children’s Hope is ever grateful to its sponsors, donors, project partners and guests for their near total participation.
