RAAH… Road to Education

By the Children For the Children

Children’s Hope takes a great pride to share with you a heartfelt story which has resulted into this

special event:

2019 summer break – four children of 12th from Shikshantar School visited CHAHAK: Children’s Hope Academy of Harmony and Knowledge, and were overwhelmed with the love and warmth they received from the children of CHAHAK. These vibrant children went back with a lot of enthusiasm and motivated their friends to fundraise for the school and thus came around the concept of RAAH: Road to Education, an evening filled with vivacious performances by the children on the 27th of July at V-Club, Sona Raod, Gurgaon.

RAAH: Road to Education

Happy faces post the event success

Romit Annanya Anhad Hiya, the four volunteers came up with a well thought name and a noble cause to provide education to more children in the society near CHAHAK. They raised funds and have successfully converted their aspiration to reality.

We thank our Event Sponsor JCB and our Venue Sponsor V-Club. It would not have been possible without them.

Glimpses of the evening

Kuchipudi Dance by Naureen Mehra who is a disciple of Shri Padmabhushan Raja Radha Reddy and Kaushalya Reddy. Her stunning Tarangam

performance which initiated footwork by dancing on the rim of a brass plate

took away the breath of the audience.

Tabla and Violin Jugalbandi! Audience could not believe what they heard – the unusual and rare musical conversation between the two performers Aadya Tyagi and Ananya Kedia.

After the classical performances came the power packed dance by six girls from ISTA, a fitness center. The uniqueness of this group also is that one of the participant is from Arushi Shelter Home (once supported by CHI) and she, with help of CH & ISTA, is taking a vocational training to become an Aerobics and Zumba instructor.

Solo performances by rising stars Kailash (with Tabla) and Aanya Puri (with guitar). Aanya sang beautiful songs – Counting Stars & Without me which acted as a filler while the stage was made ready for the last two performances.

Then came the enhancing Anjaan Band with their Hindi melodies and rocking East Wind Band who shook the room leaving the audience singing along. The songs with electric guitar, bass guitar, drums and Cajòn were breathtaking to listen to.

To end the program on special demand we had Satyansh Yadav steal the show with his extra ordinary drumming on buckets.

Guests really cherished the timely presentation, the overall ambience and the crisp performances. They left with a smile and appreciation for the work done by Children’s Hope
